Job Description:

Kaiser PermanenteGSAA (Greater Southern Alameda Area)is seeking aComprehensive Ophthalmologistto provide medical and surgical care with our team four days per week.
Applicants should be comfortable managing "bread and butter" ophthalmology including lid and ocular surface disorders, glaucoma, cataracts, retinal lasers, and intravitreal injections.
Our department is fortunate to have a large number of providers and subspecialists:
11 Comprehensive ophthalmologists (including 4 Cornea trained specialists)
4 Vitreoretinal specialists ( 2 surgical and 2 medical)
1 Glaucoma specialist
1 Oculoplastic/Orbital specialist
1 Physician Assistant
Further subspecialist support in nearby Kaiser Permanente service areas is available for neuro-ophthalmology, pediatric/strabismus, uveitis, ocular oncology, and surgical cornea.
Our main eye clinic is in Union City with satellites in Fremont and San Leandro. Call duties average to 1 week out of every 12 weeks. We cover the Kaiser Permanente hospitals in Fremont and in San Leandro.
Surgery is performed at the Kaiser Fremont Ambulatory Surgery Center. Each MD operates 2-3 full days per month yielding around 400 cases per year.

Full-time annual salary range is$315,000 to $335,040plusadditional potential incentives up to$25,000*.
Reduced schedules with pro-rated compensation may be available.
