Job Description:

Walmart Inc. is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to join our innovative Data Science and AI team in the Information Technology department. At Walmart, we harness the power of data to revolutionize retail and improve customer experiences across our global network. This role involves leveraging big data technologies, predictive modeling, and machine learning algorithms to deliver actionable insights that drive strategic decisions. The ideal candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for business improvements and enhance operational efficiency. Develop and implement advanced algorithms to analyze diverse sources of data to predict trends and provide actionable insights. Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs and deliver complex data-driven solutions. Lead projects from conception to completion, including data collection, analysis, and presentation of results. Enhance data collection procedures to include data that is relevant for building analytic systems. Process, cleanse, and verify the integrity of data used for analysis. Perform ad-hoc analysis and presenting results in a clear manner. Continuously evaluate and refine models and algorithms. Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or Scala Experience with machine learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch) and libraries (e.g., scikit-learn) Expertise in data mining, statistical analysis, and modeling techniques Strong experience with SQL and NoSQL databases Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities Ability to work on complex projects with diverse teams Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Certification in Data Science, such as CCDSTM (Certified Clinical Data Scientist) or PDSTM (Professional Data Scientist Certification) is preferred.
