TITLE: Mgr of Inventory & Planning Analytics-Rail Customer
Service

Rate of Pay: The salary range for this position in McClellan, CA is
$124,904-164,000 per year and this role is eligible to earn
incentive compensation. Siemens offers a variety of health and

DUTIES: Lead the inventory planning team by overseeing & managing
planning processes & standard methodologies to ensure a lean but
risk mitigated material availability. Develop and drive a
comprehensive Inventory strategy. Ensure optimal timing, cost, and
availability. Analyze contractual and operational demand to
optimize inventory. Report on demand/planned material. Expand
current critical metrics & reports to enable data-driven decisions
at all stages of material planning & use. Create transparency
within the business to drive optimal inventory and inventory
control procedures. Drive productivity improvements in all planning
activities & achieve process improvement and inventory cost
enhancements. Manage all aspects of inventory planning operations -
ensure no material shortages with minimal excess on hand. Pursue
operational efficiencies through robotic process automation of
tasks/reporting/monitoring. Correlate multiple sources of inventory
data to find practical results. Forecast future pooled demand and
ensure that appropriate staffing levels are planned and attained.
Implement forward-looking planning & tracking tools. Report
forward-looking demand with staggered delivery schedules to
Strategic Procurement to drive optimal price break is obtained and
built into planning. Ensure available space at multiple locations
is used as effectively as possible through appropriate planning of
material availability. Mentor and develop team members through
regular performance dialog and performance reviews. Ensure all
employees are effectively trained. 50% telecommuting permitted
within commutable distance. Approximately 10% travel required.
REQUIREMENTS: Position requires a Bachelor's degree or its foreign
equivalent in Business, Supply Chain, Data Science, Financial
Analysis, Engineering (any) or related field and five (5) years of
experience in the job offered or in a related occupation.
Experience must include the following skills: Five (5) years of
experience with optimizing operations and data sets in a capital
equipment project environment - Five (5) years of experience with
overseeing Supply Chain management processes and methodologies,
including setting up and implementing the strategies for the main
categories for the business - Five (5) years of experience with ERP
- Five (5) years of experience with MS Office, in particular excel
using advanced formulas including SUMPRODUCT, IF with VLOOKUP,
SUBTOTAL, macro recording, and the use of $ for referencing correct
cells within the advanced formulas - One (1) year of experience
with Power BI or Tableau.
