Job Description:
Alameda Health System (AHS) is seeking Psychiatrists for Full
Time, Evening shifts, in The Psychiatric Emergency Services (PES)
at the nationally recognized John George Psychiatric Hospital. John
George is conveniently located in the San Francisco Bay Area, just
south of Oakland. San Francisco is just a short drive away. The
department’s mission is to provide the best comprehensive
psychiatric and behavioral health services to adults with mental
illness in Alameda County and be the premier center for mental
health care in the East Bay. Psychiatrists Salary (Effective July
10, 2022) Annual Base Pay $385,000 Day shift: 7am - 4pm Evening pay
differential (4pm - Midnight): 15% increase to hourly rate for
hours worked during this period. Night pay differential (Midnight -
7am): 25% increase to hourly rate for hours worked during this
period Part Time/Full Time Psychiatrists working the 11 PM through
7 AM overnight shift in psychiatric emergency services (PES) shall
be paid a flat rate of $267.00/hour Qualifications Education:
Graduate of an accredited school of medicine or osteopathic
medicine with an MD or DO Minimum Experience: Prior community
mental health services experience Required Licenses/Certifications:
Valid CA License to practice Medicine and Certification in
Psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology Other
available psychiatry positions at AHS (please search postings on
this site for ‘John George Psychiatric Hospital’) 1. Full time
positions for Inpatient services. 2. SAN positions for
weekend/holiday coverage on inpatient and psychiatric emergency
services (PES). 3. SAN positions for night coverage in Psychiatric
Emergency Services (PES). *Current Psychiatry residents enrolled in
ACCGME accredited residency program can apply for SAN positions.
Pay Range: $185.45 - $190.09 / Hour The pay range for this position
reflects the base pay scale for the role at Alameda Health System.
Final compensation will be determined based on several factors,
including but not limited to a candidate’s experience, education,
skills, licensure and certifications, departmental equity,
applicable collective bargaining agreements, and the operational
needs of the organization. Alameda Health System also offers
