John George is conveniently located in the San Francisco Bay Area, just south of Oakland. San Francisco is just a short drive away. The department's mission is to provide the best comprehensive psychiatric and behavioral health services to adults with mental illness in Alameda County and be the premier center for mental health care in the East Bay. Psychiatrists Salary (Effective July 10, 2022)Annual Base Pay $363,600.00Day shift: 7am - 4pmEvening pay differential (4pm - Midnight): 15% increase to hourly rate for hours worked during this period. Brings salary for this position to: $418,050Night pay differential (Midnight - 7am): 25% increase to hourly rate for hours worked during this periodPart Time/Full Time Psychiatrists working the 11 PM through 7 AM overnight shift in psychiatric emergency services (PES) shall be paid a flat rate of $267.00/hourQualificationsEducation:Graduate of an accredited school of medicine or osteopathic medicine with an MD or DOMinimum Experience:Prior community mental health services experienceRequired Licenses/Certifications:Valid CA License to practice Medicine and Certification in Psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology***Other available psychiatry positions at AHS (please search postings on this site for 'John George Psychiatric Hospital')1. Full time positions for Inpatient services. 2. SAN positions for weekend/holiday coverage on inpatient and psychiatric emergency services (PES). 3.
