Chief Data OfficerThe Chief Data Officer leads Summit's data
strategy and builds organization-wide strategic alignment using
data. This includes partnering with school leaders and other
network leaders to drive cycles of continuous improvement, as well
as long term research and development efforts. As leader of the
Information Team, the CDO directs the design and implementation of
critical data systems, maintains regulatory compliance and data
security, and ensures reliable information is available at every
layer of decision making. Beyond this, a successful Summit CDO will
be able to lead the collection and use of qualitative data, in
addition to quantitative, and use that data as the basis for the
design of new tools, processes, and programs.Who We Are:What if all

Do:Leadership
- Define and implement Summit's organization-wide data strategy,
in partnership with other network leaders and school
leadership
- Build organization-wide strategic alignment using key
indicators and clearly defined long-term outcomes
- Develop capacity to use quantitative and qualitative data to
inform decision-making at all levels of the organization through
coaching, training, and strategic partnership
- Lead efforts to continuously improve the Summit model and its
implementation through short term Plan-Do-Study-Act cycles and
longer term research and developmentManagement
- Direct a team of data analysts and engineers to design and
implement tools and conduct analyses to support Summit's data
strategy
- Oversee administration of Summit's mission-critical information
systems and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal
reporting requirements
- Maintain and enforce data security standards to protect student
and employee privacyDesign
- Facilitate the design of new network-wide processes, programs,
and model elements
- Build organizational capacity for design, user experience
research, and innovation through coaching, training, and modeling
best practicesWhat You Need:Key Qualities and Skills
- Commitment to uphold Summit's values, belief that all children
deserve a rigorous and equitable education that prepares them for
college and for life.
- A strong desire to use data to help people make smart
decisions, and experience doing so
- Experience leading a team and collaborating on high-level
strategy
- Familiarity with user-centered design
- Professional experience in quantitative and qualitative data
management, analysis, interpretation, and presentation
- Demonstrated ability to craft clear research questions and
testable hypotheses
- Empathy for the users of data and strength in listening and
communication
- Strong project management skills and a knack for process
- Proficiency in Google Platforms, including Google Drive, Google
Sheets, Google Docs, and Google Slides.
- Experience with SQL, Python, Tableau, Airflow, Snowflake and
other related technologies preferred but not required

equitable and transparent. The salary for this position starts at
$149,764 and goes up to $197,079commensurate with experience and
