Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager with strong
mechanical and plumbing self-performing expertise to lead complex
construction projects from preconstruction through closeout. This
role requires full ownership of schedule, budget, execution
strategy, and client relationships while maintaining detailed
knowledge of project scope and field operations. This is a hands-on
leadership role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment
and understands the technical and operational demands of
self-performing mechanical and plumbing work. Key Responsibilities
Lead day-to-day execution of project controls, project engineering,
cost management, risk management, and overall business operations
for assigned projects. Manage project schedules and budgets to
ensure on-time, successful delivery. Maintain detailed, hands-on
knowledge of project scope, field conditions, and execution plans.
Serve as the primary point of contact for general contractors and
owners. Proactively identify challenges and facilitate effective
solutions to support job-site productivity and client expectations.
Oversee financial performance, forecasting, and reporting to ensure
project profitability. Ensure projects meet critical success
factors, quality standards, and customer satisfaction goals.
Mentor, train, and develop team members to support continued growth
and operational excellence. Collaborate closely with engineers,
detailers, field teams, and union personnel to drive execution.
Qualifications & Requirements Proven experience managing mechanical
and plumbing self-performing construction projects. Strong
background in budgeting, cost control, scheduling, estimating,
preconstruction planning, and construction management. Excellent
verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work
effectively with internal teams and external clients. Proficiency
in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Bluebeam. Experience
with Primavera (P6), Microsoft Project, Procore, Prolog, and Vista
by Viewpoint. Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and
maintain a positive, professional demeanor. High school diploma or
GED required; Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management,
Mechanical Engineering, or related field strongly preferred.
Ability to safely and successfully perform essential job functions
in compliance with applicable federal, state, and local standards.
