Engineering Intern Location : This position is based in our
Campbell, California offices, on-site & full-time. Imperative Care
does not provide relocation or additional housing compensation for
the summer internship. Why Imperative Care? At Imperative Care we

interventional capabilities that will forever change the disparate
outcomes of ischemic stroke – a disease that impacts close to a
million people a year in the U.S., and 10 million worldwide. Not
only is Imperative Care changing the way stroke is treated, but
also bringing this treatment to the greater population who is
currently without. We are actively building a team who is focused
on developing novel solutions for this complex disease – a disease
in which one in four adults will face in their lifetime. What
You’ll Do: This position will help us build the next generation of
surgical-robotic solutions. As a member of a tight-knit hardware
team, you’ll help senior engineers test, evaluate and redesign a
component or subsystem of the robot. You will have ownership of
your project but will also have the full support of the team to
ensure your success. At the end of the internship, you will present
your successful project to senior leadership. Your work will
contribute to improving access to care that provides stroke
patients a better chance to thrive. Participate in the design, and
development and prototyping of new concepts and test procedures
(methods and fixtures) Solve technical issues by troubleshooting
and determining root cause. Design, plan, and execute laboratory
experiments to evaluate feasibility of concepts. Perform
verification testing, which may include protocol development and
documentation of experimental execution, as well as report writing.
Review test data against established acceptance criteria and write
appropriate test reports Interact with engineers to understand
product requirements Document relevant information (i.e., new
ideas, test results, build procedure, etc.) in lab notebook
according to good laboratory practices or company procedure What
You’ll Bring: Minimum of 2 years of college-level coursework in an
Electrical Engineering or related discipline & a cumulative GPA of
3.0 or higher Familiar with electrical R&D equipment used for
prototyping common medical devices (oscilloscope, multimeters,
soldering equipment, power supplies, cable assembly tools) Able to
use Altium Designer or equivalent tools for drawing and designing
electrical schematics and completing PCB layout. Strong
organizational skills: management of multiple priorities and timing
Good interpersonal skills, effective communication with R&D and
