Career Opportunities: Senior Tax Accountant (6990) Requisition ID -6990 -- -Posted -03/31/2023 -- -Finance & Accounting -- -Full Time -- -United States -- -Hybrid -- -California -- -San Leandro This role is responsible for supporting the Director of Tax in sales and use tax, property tax, income tax, unclaimed property, business licenses and filings, Census reporting, and other special projects. You'll Make a Difference By

• Management of all sales and use tax filings and exemption certificates, including working cross-functionally with IT, Credit and Operations to understand and improve internal processes around sales and use tax and certificate management
• Preparing Canadian GST/HST tax returns and filings
• Preparing all property tax returns and filings
• Computing quarterly estimated income taxes and assist in the preparation of supporting schedules for the income tax provision and tax return
• Financial audit participation and preparation of required audit supporting schedules
• Researching unclaimed property laws and prepare required filings
• Preparing various state, local, and federal business information returns
• Preparing business license filings and research new business license requirements as needed
• Coordinating and assisting in all tax audits
• Performing other accounting/tax functions as needed About You
  • BS Degree in finance or accounting
  • 2 - 4+ years accounting and/or tax experience, preferably with consumer goods
  • Experience with Avalara sales and use tax software a plus
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Strong organizational, problem solving, and analytical skills
  • Highly detail-oriented, accurate, and efficient

The salary range for this position is $105,000 - $115,000 per year. The salary is determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data for geographic locations.
