and rapidly increase revenues. The Opportunity ZoomInfo is seeking
a highly motivated Strategic Finance and Corporate Development
professional to focus on M&A and investments, along with
capital markets activities. Based in San Francisco, you will be an
individual contributor and work collaboratively across functions
(including Product, Engineering, Legal, Finance, and HR) to help
identify, evaluate, and execute ZoomInfo's acquisitions,
investments and other strategic deals. ZoomInfo has acquired 5
companies since the Fall of 2020 including Clickagy, Everstring,
Insent, Chorus, and Ringlead. We are looking for a strategic
thinker who is passionate about ZoomInfo and the future of
go-to-market technologies. The ideal candidate enjoys solving
complex problems, works effectively with cross-functional teams,
and thrives in a fast-paced setting that is constantly evolving.
The Strategic Finance and Corporate Development team is small and
values authentic, driven individuals who think creatively and
proactively. What You'll Do:
- Strategic monitoring. Analyze and understand ZoomInfo's
strategic objectives, as well as industry trends to
identify/support diligence of companies that can meet those
objectives
- Deal pipeline. Manage a pipeline of potential targets with
input from cross-functional teams to prioritize and identify
targets for further diligence
- Diligence. Conduct rigorous market, financial and strategic
analyses including market assessment, business case, synergies,
build vs. buy modeling, integration plan, risks, ROI, deal
valuation, etc. to provide a detailed strategic thesis for
potential acquisitions.
- Develop and own business valuation, financial & transaction
modeling
- Deal execution. Support deal transaction lifecycle including
deal negotiations, diligence planning, and execution, deal sign &
close activities. Collaborate broadly with internal teams and
external advisors in accordance with deal timeline and objectives.
Support post-acquisition integration governance and
monitoring.
- Advise clients on aspects of capitalization, such as amounts,
sources, or timing
- Analyze financial or operational performance of companies
facing financial difficulties to identify or recommend
remedies
- Assess companies as investments for clients by examining
company facilities.
- Collaborate on projects with other professionals, such as
lawyers, accountants, or public relations experts
- Create client presentations of plan details
- Employ financial models to develop solutions to financial
problems or to assess the financial or capital impact of
transactions
- Inform investment decisions by analyzing financial information
to forecast business, industry, or economic conditions
- Monitor fundamental economic, industrial, and corporate
developments by analyzing information from financial publications
and services, investment banking firms, government agencies, trade
publications, company sources, or personal interviews
- Prepare all materials for transactions or execution of
deals
- Prepare plans of action for investment, using financial
analyses
- Present oral or written reports on general economic trends,
individual corporations, and entire industries About You
- Top tier Bachelors degree required. Masters degree
preferred.
- Minimum 3 years of professional technology industry work
experience in investment banking, venture capital, private equity,
corporate development, or management consulting
- Excellent financial modeling skills including business
valuation methodologies (multiples based approaches, DCF) and
M&A modeling (3 statement models, accretion/dilution, breakeven
synergies, deal financing structures, etc.)
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Deal execution and management experience including term sheet,
diligence, deal execution, merger agreement support, and close
- A self-starter who excels in fast-paced and fluid
environments
- Passionate about big challenges and have a great sense of humor
