Job Summary Hatcheri Foods has opened a new position for a Controller. The Controller will be a self-starter who will be responsible for all accounting and budgeting aspects for one or more of Hatcheri Foods' brands. The Controller will report to the Vice President of Finance. This individual will be a seasoned senior accountant ready for the next level. They will thrive in a fast-paced environment and be very "hands on". Experience with CPG brands and Quickbooks highly desired. Our Brands Fra' Mani, Sukhi's, Sonoma Gourmet, Somersaults and Snap Dragon. Essential job functions * Plan and maintain all accounting operational functions for one or more brands * Prepare all financial reports, financial outlooks, and financial forecasts * Guide financial decisions by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing policies/procedures * Protect assets by establishing and monitoring and enforcing financial controls * Coordinate and prepare financial statements for one or more brands * Coordinate and prepare all aspects of business planning and budget management functions for one or more brands * Assess current accounting operations and controls, offering recommendations for improvement and implementing new processes * Recommend benchmarks for measuring the financial and operating performance * Monitor and analyze monthly operating results against budget * Oversee internal controls over the areas of responsibility * Oversee daily operations of the financial planning and analysis functions * Coordinate with the management of the brands to ensure company financial objectives are met Qualifications * Degree in Finance, Accounting or Business with strong Accounting experience AND * 7+ years of experience in an Accounting/Finance management role, preferably in the food industry * CPG experience a plus * CPA accreditation a plus * Knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles * Knowledge of federal and state financial regulations * Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements and projections * Working knowledge of short/long term budgeting and forecasting, rolling budgets, and product-line profitability analysis * Experience with Quickbooks a plus * Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint); Compensation and Benefits Competitive salary/bonus to commensurate with experience.
