On a day-to-day basis, the therapist will often have to perform technical procedures on complex life support systems, and make on the spot decisions that affect patient care In a wide variety of settings from neonatal to geriatric. The therapist also has the responsibility for assuring that all prescribed therapy is performed with quality.Job Description:EDUCATION:Equivalent experience will be accepted in lieu of the required degree or diploma.HS DiplomaOther: Graduate from an accredited school of Respiratory Therapy.CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE:RCP-Respiratory Care Practitioner--BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider--Active membership in the A.A.RC. (American Association for Respiratory Care) recommended. Active membership in the C.S.R.C.
